photography is a genuine passion.

i never knew how important it would become for me. when i got my first big boy camera in 2020, the sony a7iii, it took over my life. this is one hobby i have stuck with the longest, and i don’t see myself stopping.

below are photos i shot since 2020. they are the following categories: goshen, travel, studio, portraits, lego.

i don’t know what my style of shooting is, however, i see it as minimal and appreciative of the everyday norm. my focal length of choice is 85mm. it being f1.8 is a nice touch, yet i find myself shooting with a higher aperture more often.

goshen, in.

[GOH-shən]

[noun]: a place of plenty and comfort

i was born on the day of my birth, and that is in goshen. while some people characterize the midwest as boring, to me it is calm and comforting. the focus and appreciation of nature in the city is something i adore.

nicknamed “the maple city”, my appreciation for trees is very apparent. here are some photos taken throughout my hometown.

travel.

traveling to who knows where taking photos

places include:

  • elkhart

  • chicago

  • aguascalientes

  • matamoros

  • south bend

studio.

well, not really a studio, just somewhere in my apartment.

product photography, macro, headshots, anything involving speedlights falls under studio photography for me. the type of photos i like to take are low-key lighting.

portraits.

sometimes you just wanna look good.

photos are great. you are great. how about we combine both and take some amazing photographs to share?

lego.

please don’t sue me, lego. i know you are very protective of your IP, i just wanna share my love for your products.

lego, a little hobby that started when i was in 5th grade. the creation of the minifigure is one of humanity’s greatest achievements.
